Royalty Rates Used in Pharmaceutical Agreements

This article, which is adapted from the 2005 PharmaVentures report A Guide to Royalty Rates in Pharmaceutical Licensing Deals, presents guidelines on appropriate royalty rates for new pharmaceuticals. These draw upon a survey of pharmaceutical licensing executives undertaken in 2001. The results were, overall, consistent with PharmaVentures' experience in deal analyses and negotiations.
